We think of Acids whenever the patient is extremely exhausted but this is only the second phase of these remedies; very often we can see in the history a first phase of hyperactivity and haste as also happens in other groups such as Amphetamines like, Erythroxylaceae, Loganiaceae, Rutaceae, Araliaceae and Sapindaceae 

Physical aspects with the frequent syphilitic tendency of Acids may also help in differential diagnosis.
